version 6 release should have this function. V5 is due this will have the subtitles sorted and few minor bugs.

Got my box now and have to say i'm very happy all in all.
The box was up and running in around 20 minutes or so with no trouble at all. It was very easy to set up. The favourites section was very quick to sort out and makes life much easier. Picture quality is is much better than the eurovox that i had before and the EPG seems to work much better too.

The box as the latest firmware installed, loaded before it was despatched on the 10th of the month. how often will there be new firmware and what do i need to download it.

The only problem i have is when the box as been of for more than a couple of hours. When i switch everything back on all i get is sound and a white screen. I've tried switching the overnight scan of but it still hasn't made any differance.

I'd be greatfull of any help with this

Sorry to be a bit forward and hijack this post, but I saw your post (Spikebaby) above were you said you new the guy who writes the programmes for the Kryptview Arnet boxes,
I recently bought 2 of these boxes but cant get them going due to the programme in the box not supporting my cable provider (smallworld) in Ayrshire.
I have renamed the telewest channel to smallworld and entered all the smallworld frequencys e.t.c. done an autoscan and picked up loads of channel's but unfortunately almost all of them come up 'scrambled or no signal, I have tried leaving it on sky sports 1 for several hours, going up and down the channels, turning box off for half an hour all to no avail.
A guy from the satdownloads site reckons that because the programmes in the box dont support my network provider that the EMU is not being switched on.
Do yo think that this is the case, If so would you be prepared to ask the guy who writes the programme's if there is a way to edit the programme so that it will switch the EMU on in my area.
Thanks,
John
P.S. I tried to P.M. you but cant yet due to not having enough posts.

Thanks, for that Mash, Another guy has told me that if I install the latest updates for my box that it should work, I got all excited, downloaded the latest updates and attempted to install them only to discover the the lead supplied doesnt fit anywere on my laptop, seems I need an adaptor. I tried to get one today but couldn't. Im not very confident of this working as when I read the differences the the updates give, it makes no mention of supporting my provider or anything like that, but I suppose it is worth a try. I will let you know how I get on, In the meantime I would be very gratefull if you could find out how to get it up and running manually.
Cheers
John

Hi,
You should be able to purchase a USB to COM port adapter from eBay for just a few pounds. But make sure it's a USB to COM PORT not a USB to COM CABLE as the cable won't work.
Best of luck with it.

It's a shame you cant get the Kryptview working as it's a cracking receviers. Before you throw the towel in though, do a search for 'satdownloads' and pay them a visit. It's devoted to customisable receivers and I think I remember a post describing your problem (I might be wrong). Worth a try anyway.

As for going for a Eurovox, they are a good box but pricey in comparison to other receivers. The D-Digital might be worth a look as it runs the same software as the Eurovox.

Of course, I try to be impartial on forums, but if you have a look at our site, there's some good ratings and comparisons on there for you to read about.
