According to Christian Mass on Dr Dish, the DM8000 ('the ghost receiver', as he calls it) may finally see release in March. I can only imagine that this must be absolutely true, as Herr Mass is such a steady, reliable looking man!

It will be out end of January.

DMM has put the DM8000 on the newspage at their site now yesterday so it's coming now.

hmm so it is now approved for hdmi and hdcp compliance then as wasn't that holding it up ?

It's official now, Dm8000 will be sent out to all their dealers in the next two weeks.

The enthusiast model DM8000 and a smaller modell for budget oriented people.

Price 790 euro.

hi, i'm new to this forum but have been waiting a while for this model.

the website says "HDTV", doesn't that mean that it will be HD complient?

If it won't have HDMI then how will we get HD to our TV?

According to the spec it has a DVI connector so you will need an DVI to HDMI cable if your TV has HDMI connections.

will that alter the quallity? is it better quallity to run straight from hmdi to hmdi or won't it matter if you use a converter?
