Code Updated/Insert Smart Card - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hey guys, Ive had my eurovox a few weeks now with no probs, but today for some reason today Im getting the `Insert Smart Card' message every so often on the screen, and Im getting a lot of `Updating Codes, Please Wait..' msgs aswell.. should I be concerned about this? I know its gotta update every so often, just seems to be going for it quite a bit today and it seems wierd..

Put it on sky sports one and let it update could take up to 20 mins

I did do that buddy, and it took a few minutes. Then when I flick over to another channel it could be fine for an hour, then when I move channels again it comes up again! Ill just leave it on ss1 overnite and check it in the morning.. should be uber updated by then.. lol

don't think it's just you i've had the code being updated a few times today
just turned it back on after about 8 hours off and it's updated again

Yep, having the same problem here. It eventually updated and was back to normal.

Hmmm! Whats going on then.. this morning I woke to the Insert Smart Card message again.. anyone know whats going on? What area are you guys in? Im in the north west..

Same here,I had it update code about 5 times or more last night,Got so peeved off that I turned it off,hopefully it will be okay later when i turn it back on today

Hi virgin are swopping thing around plus adding new channels ive just found dmax plus a new mtv r channel when they do these things plus upgrade there systems it changes the code my box been updating on and off on diffrent days .
