Exclamation Caution: Truman 1.3.82

New version out today on Truman-support, but I bricked my box when loading it. Patched it with Ali Universal Fixer 1.2b first (out yesterday on DVB-upload) and it seemed to load OK, but there's nothing when I turn my SL65\12 B1 on and now I can't do anything via the serial port.

I had been messing about with Smart firmware today but I always used just Allcode as the upload method, never Allcode+Bootloader. Flashing the new Truman FW was the last thing I did and the serial port seemed to work to do that. Now it won't play at all.

Looks like I'm going to have to Jtag it - never done that before, so I might need my hand holding. Anyone know of a good guide in English for Jtagging an SL65\12 6pin?

Thanks for the warning Sol. Hopefully someone will post a solution soon on one of the forums as this will have affected quite a few enthusiasts, I should think.

@Andysly
Yeah, that's the way I always do it - it ain't gonna help - it's JTAG time!!

Several Germans have had the same experience over on NachtFalke.

Off to shop for resistors.

Jtagged it back to life. I did a Flaps wholeflash with truman_EMU_1.3.79_sly test fully working.abs and interrupted it at 12% and now the RS232 is back!!

I learnt a few things doing this and one day I'll write "Jtag SL65 for Dummies".

Hello Everybody,
I also missed up my silvercrest SL65 B1 with flashing the truman software 1.3.82. What I did was next:
First I flashed the version 1.3.82 (like you download it from internet, without patches)into my reciever, then I saw that the reciever was working, but the remote control was not working.
Then I decided do go back to 1.3.79, this was OK.
Today I downloaded the truman universal fixer, and patched the version 1.3.82 with the patch for the comag remote control, the sound patch and the display patch.
During downloading everything seemed to be OK, but after downloading the processor does not start-up, it resets all the time. Now the receiver is not working and also the serial port is not working anymore.
I know the only solution is via J-tag, but:
Where can I find a diagram of the J-tag to make it?
Another thing is, what software do I have to use (the normal software upgrade tool or something else)?
What BIN file do I have to download (The truman bin file version 2.3.79 ore something else)?
Do I need to download bootloader + Allcode, or only Allcode?

Thanks a lot in advance.

dkindt, hard luck - that's the same thing as happened to me. The only option now is probably Jtag. I'm currently writing a 'How To' for this process so hang on a few minutes and you will see a new thread appear.
