Default Eurovox Blue - "No Signal"

Like many others, my Eurovox was running through the "Code Being Updated" cycle very frequently today. Someone has suggested the cable companies are running Electronic Counter Measures.

Eventually mine's has jumped to "No Signal". I tried reflashing the firmware, but it still seems completely unable to detect the cable input now. (We have a second box which is still fighting the "Code Being Updated" battle successfully so I know the feed is still active to the house).

Could the ECMs have knackered the receiver eventually? Is there something more I can try?

double check your connections at the rear of your box, i.e. make sure your main feed is connected to (rf in) and not (ant)

Had tried that I'm afraid. Even brought our upstairs box downstairs to ensure the cable connectors themselves weren't damaged and responsible for the loss.

The second box working both upstairs and down, the one in question still showing "No Signal" at both locations.

I did that first to no effect, reflashed, then tried a scan again - still nothing. It is running through a complete power scan in about 5 seconds as never finding the feed, so the bars constantly red.

so i assume youve done a scan on 6952 symbol rate. do you have a channel file to send to your box, if not take 1 from working box and use that.

Hiya - thanks for the suggestions - yes I had my own channel file. The problem continues to be that the machine simply does not recognise that the cable feed is present. That why it zaps thru the new power scans in an instant......with the signal strength remaining in the red and never finding anything. It literally is a couple of seconds to finish because it is not detecting any input.

Success gadgetfiend - after leaving the box off for a while, I reflashed again with an earlier BIN that I knew to be good with this box and it's now power scanning successfully as I type!

Thanks for your support - I suspect I might have given-up before this and spent money needlessly on a new box!

Cheers
