hi guys
my father in-law owns a eurovox bluebox and wants me to update the software for him after seing my max v at the weekend and liking the new epg. what i need to know is firstly, what loader do i use to install the latest software for the bluebox. and secondly, what changes are there in the latest software as he's never updated his eurovox before so it's as it was when he bought it over 2 years ago. now i know that he won't get the same look as on my max v but will he see any improvements from the update.

You don't need a loader with the latest firmware, the loader is built into the firmware file......

The loader and firmware are combined m8
you want the UFL_MAX_BLUE_01_10_07 file, connect your box with null modem cable and just click on download thats it.
He wont get the same epg layouts as the 08 box but will notice big improvments if he's never updated it.

i have a blue box that i have never updated i think the software thats on it is febuary 2006 what sort of improvements would i see on my box if i update it with the october 2007 software?.

you'll see improvment to the on screen graphics and an epg that works,these changes were made last febuary m8!
you sure its 06 not 07

yep m8 its defo an 06 box and the firmware is febuary 2006 i have checked everything to see if it is a clone and its defo a genuine blue box i got it around september 2006 do u think we will ever see a widescreen fix for this box or have they stopped making updates for the blue box?.

their still doin updates, the last 1 was oct
the latest 08 black box firmware are only beta/trial versions so hopfully when they release the official version they'll do 1 for the blue
