thats old software, you know its updating when numbers roll, leave well alone untill it comes on, try rebooting again holding in standby button untill you see 0000 then use vol buttons and ch buttons to get 4321 press select see if that makes them roll, if not you may have a no update mod on the box.

tried standby and 4321 still the same. i've had a resistor fitted, could it be something else?

resistor fitted? not sure what you mean? if you have no update mod job on the box think its a 10k resistor.

ok now sorted, got the box updated, all channels there. programmed the card. when i've gone to read the card again in nagraedit this is what i get

have you kept ird and boxkey number? if so try xncs to open card, failing that you may need an unlooper to pop it, what image did you put on it for it not to work?

yes mate i did keep my ird and boxkey numbers. will give xncs a try tomorrow afternoon. if it does not work, where can i get hold of an unlooper? thanks for being so patient and sharing your knowledge with me
