Default bittorrent sites

Yes I might.
Posted a question about downloading a programme to copy dvds, i had a reply to try torrent?? went to that site i thought oh god virus etc? what do you think?

I wouldnt if i were you, last time i did that with those bit torrent sites i had to re install op software, i had trojans and something that tangled itself in my start up files, that when anti virus took it out it took the whole file with it, i had avg firewall, anti virus, and comodo bo clean running as well, nightmare.

I use utorrent and have not had any problems so far. Its better if you can find private sites and make sure you scan everything with an anti virus scanner when its downloaded.

I usually use mininova. Yes, some files will contain viuses, but you should be scanning anything you've download with a decent AV program before installing/running it anyway. Just downloading the torrent won't infect your system. If you're still not entirely confident, backup your system before installing/running (To do that, you need to image your system drive. Just making a simple copy won't work).
