Default Techy terms used

Hi peeps

Another newbie here. I've done a search (and a lot of reading of the forum!) but can't find a glossary of all the techy terms used that would help me enormously to understand things a bit better. Does anybody know if such a thread exists?

Apologies if I've missed it.

Cheers
Al

Thanks for that satsmo. It certainly helped.

Since posting, my box has arrived (Eurovox Max V 2008), and I've just set it up. No problems whatsoever at the moment. Force scan, 240 channels found

I just have to try and figure out a way to optimise it for Widescreen now. And find out how to check firmware version, And how to update it if necessary.

Problems problems problems. I love it lol

Not today I'm afraid. Too busy playing with my box if you'll excuse the expression. A few of us do have a bit of a fun compy on a Saturday over at my website. Pop over sometime. The addy should be in my profile.

In Macc for my sins hehe.

I'm well impressed with this box. Any idea how I find out what version of firmware it has? Although due to the problem I'm having with Vista and drivers for the USB port, it doesn't matter much. Don't think I'll be able to upload/download from the box to PC

If you have either Kuro image you can set widescreen, press menu, config, TV setting and set to 16:9 fullscreen. To find out what firmware you have press menu, config and system info.
