Default Newbie DI4001N Funcard 4

Hi all,

After much frustration, and help from RedDiesel I finally got my box working, well to a extend anyways.

Now when the card is inserted and I go into the menus it reads "Card Status - Waiting" and "Card No - None Present".

Would that be correct if the card needs updating? it's a funcard 4 btw and the box stopped working sometime ago.

Also i've purchased this of fleabay and was hoping it would be good enough to reprogram the funcard

Cased Funcard Programmer on eBay, also Digital Satellite Cards, Cards, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics (end time 10-Jan-08 22:16:49 GMT)

It should do the job, think you would be better off with an infinity or dynamite though. if you have problems we most all use these.

Yeah I understand it won't be the best, but I won't be doing may, and I thought For 6 quid it will do me for now, plus if I actually succeed in doing one, then I may Upgrade to a infinity

But good to know this one should work for now.

I've also just bought a led simm for a tenner so have all things needed for the DI4001 box.

Next question is, would a 4000 and 4010 box work in a pure n*l area? I read the angels cable guide and belive it will, but just wanted to check.

If so it gives me a few more sources to buy from, I understand the 4000 and 4040 need jtaging. is there anythng else i'd need for them?

4000 will work ive done a few, but they dont update, the few ive done are still working on old ntl epg, and you dont have to use pin films just come straight on.

So if I understand all this correctly, in a pure ntl area, just about any box will work?

Currently have the Di4001 but find teh epg and change of channels a little slow, also had a problem with the box updating. Are the 4000 and 4010 any better a box than the 4001?

I'll be happy to take anything i can get my hands on, lol.. But always good to know what will and will not work, the dI4001 seems the most popular in my area along with the 2110.

I actually have a 2110 but the card has been hit, so now dead which is a shame as it was paired until about 2 weeks ago before I found this place .

I'll keep hold of it tho in case someone finds a way to get the bk without the card.
