Sorry I'm responding with a question rather than an answer. I'm just about to order a eurovox but I'm a bit confused about ability to view in different rooms - you seem to have gotten past that to some extent at least. I don't have any set top box, I get NTL cable (free channels) and split the main feed into different rooms - each room can watch a different channel. Does the eurovox only activate a single channel at a time - i.e. if I have one box, then can only one channel can be watched simultaneously in different rooms? If so, will a different box in each room allow different channels? (Even to me, this question is beginning to sound a bit, well, basic - sorry.)

its will be the same channel in all rooms if its run of the same box there is no twin tuner in this model m8
the only way to have different programmes in various rooms is to buy a box for each room
hope this helps

Seeing as your wired already you can use 1 of THESE or something similar. I dont like the actual A/V senders as ive tried 2 and they seem to disable my wireless connection on my laptop.

You could try the Smart Blaster and Smart Eye from Blue Delta.
It uses the RF cable like the sky remote extenders do. Except you position
the smart blaster part infront of your Cable box. it would also do the video as well as any other ir units.

I don't own one of these so can't say how well it works.

Good luck
