Have I done something wrong? DI4001 - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hey again all,

I got my Card programmer today, Followed the N*L tut and got alot more channels, well infact all but a few and was wondering if i've done something wrong.

I'm in a pure area, and get all except v1 and setanta1 which seems unusual to me, the other problem i have is if i start the book up with the card in i get a message of card not inserted, once the card is romoved and reinserted the message goes away. The other thing I have noticed is that in technical stuff it reports the card no as none present.

So have I done something wrong?

Opps forgot about that, I'm using a Funcard4 mate. and used funprom to program it with chaos v3 as flash

just a cheap funcard programmer i'm affraid, i was told it may create some problems, just find it odd that all works except for the odd channel and the message that appears after first boot.

honest they seem to be a lot of bother, what did you use for the flash and ext files?

Flash was chaosv3 and the ext file(NTL.bn11) was from the d/l's section and converted by swapbinhex.

I tried a new image that Jimbo was good enough to supply for me, but unfortunatly still got the same problems.

The missing channels don't really matter to me, I just find it odd of the
Card No - None Present error, and the message of smart card not inserted when booting the box up.

Anyone got more suggestions?
