I was told that in Italy the terrestrial analogue signal was switched off last year but , according to some websites, this is incorrect and the switch off will be phased in - like in the UK - by 2012, although their switch over started earlier than ours.
I wondered whether the digital terrestrial signal was already available in all areas in Italy and whether you received it depended only on whether you had a digital receiver, or whether it was only available in particular areas where the switch over had been made. Many thanks. |

The analogue signal is still going strong in Italy including Band I. With a planned switch off by 01/10 I doubt they already have 100% DTT coverage and I've not heard of any switchovers taking place yet.
