Lightbulb Eurovox MaxV

Hi, I purchased my Eurovox maxV 3 days ago and followed the installation to the 't' using setting 6887 (ntl area) and did a power scan in a result of 317 channels, but channels on frequencies 339,347,355,363,371,379,387,395,411,419,427 and 435 (the first 12) keep breaking up (picture and sound) and a information panel coming up saying no signal. Checked the signal strength and all are giving 80 to 83%. PLease can anybody help.

Hi, thanks for reply checked software and have Kuro installed and booster was off, tried turning it on, and seems a little worse. I have noticed sometimes when I turn the box on the channels seem ok then other times they are bad. Could it be weather conditions?

It sounds like a signal issue, try removing all splitters and other devices from the cable feed. Run the Eurovox directly off the cable feed with nothing else connected and see how well that works.

Thanks for that Lincsat. Tried that last night, took the connector off the cable and placed the inner and outer of the cable to the the socket and got a good picture when pressed firmly, then replace cable connector and put F-Coax Adaptor on, picture is poor again.

Are you sure you have the connector on properly - if it works with the bare wires, it should work with a properly fitted connector.

Make sure you have a good earth on the F connector and there is no braiding touching the centre core.

If you get a goo picture with bare wires then its deffo a connection fault!

Had the same problem with my dads, turned out that all the cables we bought from maplin were ****! Made some myself and now it works perfect!
