Question single monoblock

Hi guys, at the moment i am running two boxs off a quad lmb. I bought a single monoblock last year, before second box. I would like to fit monoblock for 19e and hotbird. Would i have to buy a duel monoblock, or can you do it cheaper with some sort of splitter.

If you want both boxes to have access to 13E & 19E and to use both at once then you will need a twin output monobloc.
If you are only ever going to use one at a time then an A/B switch will do fine.

Well, you can use the IF loopthrough, if you don't mind switching one of them off when not using it. Or only watch channels in the same band and the same polarisation and same satellite on the second receiver. Or a manual switch could be used.

The twin monoblock would be provide a better solution though. Or an LNB multibracket, with twins on, so you could get a couple of extra sats as well.

Maplins have them for a tenner. You can only use one receiver at a time though - remember that

I might just go for the twin monoblock. It sounds the simplist solution. Loop throughs and ab switchs are foreign to me. I'll wait til better weather sets in. Just that i got tm 1000d on tuesday and well chuffed with it, and want to use it in one room for premiere sport, and echolink 777 in other room for films. So having 19e and hotbird would do me nicely. Thanks guys for your guidence

Dont get too attached to Prem - there are some nasty rumours on the transponder-news website (german language) that Premiere are looking to switch to videoguard. Seems more likely now as Murdoch Corp have just bought a big slice of Prmiere.

Videoguard is holding up well - its what Sky UK & Italy uses - and no there are no patches for it..

Christmas 2006 there was almost nothing open for a couple of months, then nagra 2 fell and a feast of goodies was available.

A lso 3 pm matches on saturday on premiere not on sky.Lets face it fiddling with the dish, or stb ,swearing, mood swings is all part of this fun HOBBY
