Looking at getting a Asus COMMANDO P965, seems to support most RAID configs.

Asus P5B-E will do, and very cheap as well, there is no point in buying an expensive board unless you intend on buying DDR3 RAM

After reading of many reviews, I think I will be sticking with the ASUS Commando. Too many good things said about it.

I think my DVB-C Budget 1500 card may be faulty.

When I first put it in the new system I was initially having the same issues as DeepCat ie no picture after changing channels.

Now I have the problem of not getting a picture at all.

Tried ProgDVB 5.12 and 5.13 (latest version) and also the app which came with the card, all resultuing the same issue. (Freezing picture, jumpy sound)

Memory and processor power are not an issue now as I have as follows:

Intel Q6600 QuadCore 2.4 GHz
ASUS Commando Motherboard
INNO3D Nvidia 8800GT PCIe Graphics
4GB DDR2 800 RAM (Although system can only see 3GB by design)
2 x 500GB Samsung SATA drives

Tried with NVidia Pure Video Decoder and without, no difference.

The card worked better in my old system (only a little jumpy)

It is not the signal as I usually get >75%/100%.

Anyone got any ideas?

hairnomore mate hi, first off try this hotfix from microsoft! do you have direct x9.c installed? if not install it, keep NVidia Pure Video Decoder as this is the best. try ProgDVB 4.85.3 this seems to have the least bugs! I doubt it will be the card mate, lets know how you get on.

Applied the hotfix yesterday. This fixed the problem of DVBDream crashing when doing scans.

I will check what version of Direct x I have installed.

There are alot of people having similar problems. A german website are pointing to unstable drivers. I personally think there may be a conflict with PCIe. I noticed TT are doing a specific driver for PCIe systems for the premium model TT-Premium C-2300.

Bit of a daft question but you are using the latest BDA drivers?

Yes, version 5.0.0.6. I heard there was a 5.0.0.12 but I think it got withdrawn. I have already tried the older BDA drivers with no success.
