Very Useful info rd100, as I want to upgrade, without getting any bigger. I wonder if it would fit on my motor. |

The AZ-EL mount it comes with needs to go on a 3 inch (76mm) pole you can get polar mount but andrew discontinued them last year so can only be got hold of second hand but you can get a high quality jaeger 1224 h2h motor that has a back plate that fits the Andrews 90cm,1m,1.2m dishes

Thanks, rd,
Are the CMs heavier than a normal steel dish of the same dimensions? As I was thinking, if I manage to see one locally, I would just get a sheet of aluminium mounted on the back and bolt the AZ/EL mount of my existing dish to it. |

Yes they are heavier as they are high quality smc dishes but unlike other dishes if you set it up proper it would last for years my friend has one that has been up since June 1985 that's almost 23 years now and the only thing that has ever been touched on it is a new actuator and a lnb change and that's it apart from greasing up the jack one every 2 years
