I'm looking at building my own Media PC, I have chosen my case "Antec Fusion".
This will be my fist build (should be interesting )The ability to play 1080p HD files is my primary concern, although I am hoping to get a "Good all rounder". I have seen this which looks really cheap at £85 Asrock 2CORE1333-2.66G Socket 775 motherboard bundle including E2140 Overclocked to 2.66GHz (Faster than the Intel E4500 at stock) But I dont mind paying more if necessary, I am hoping to get everything needed for around £400 not including OS, Hard Drive & DVDRW (will i need a graphics card for HDMI?) So what I would like are any recommendations for a processor and motherboard (mATX). All opinions gratefully received |

I know that the antec cases are quiet but it all depends also on the fans that you stick in, my case has 4 120mm fans in it made by synth, they are awasom, even replace the PSU Fans, this is something to consider when building a media center pc. Ive done loads of research into finding the quietest pc so i can leave it on over night, also some sound proofing and good venterlation. this will reduce the cpu fan from spinning up quickly when watching hd dvds.
Hope that info helps. |
