Default Buying A Eurovox

Hi guys I'm thinking of buying a eurovox box for my room. Don't really know a lot bout stuff like this.I would be splitting my broadband cable. Will I still get a good signal???What box is the best to buy just now?? Do u need to frequently install updates on these boxes, if so how do install them??

I was also reading something about cable companies blocking these in April. Anyone know more about this??? Cheers

Usually the signal level is good enough to split with no problems. Updates can be installed to the Eurovox Max over a RS232/ Null-modem cable connected to a serial port (or USB to Serial adapter) on your PC

There have been rumours of the Cable Companies blocking these ever since such devices became widely available - April 1st is one of the more common dates to be rumoured

Both, scart is the better quality.
