Hi mike bb,
you have two ways of programming your Dragon using the Cas 3, either using the loader card or the dummy card: Dummy card. Start up your Cas 3 software. Insert your Dragon Cam into your Cas 3, gently as you can break the pins if too forceful. Insert the dummy card, the oblong circuit board connected to your Cas 3 with the ribbon cable. The dummy card goes in with the cable underneath, the 8 oblong contacts, 2 rows of four, pointing up. Ensure it is pushed all the way in. Click on the Cam Module tab, Dragon Cams icon, and the dragon cam icon. Choose your Cam model type, located on the bottom of your cam, usually 3x or 4x. Click on the icon with 3 dots, at the end of the file name bar. Navigate to predator364.dra, and click open. Now just click the start update icon and wait for it to finish loading. Once complete remove the cam and place it in your cam. Loader card: Using Fun 7 card. Start up your Cas software, and click on the smartcard tab. Click on Card Programmer tab and insert your card, chip facing down. From the drop down box choose Prussian card 5, and then click repair Dragon Card loader. Once complete close this and remove your card. Close this pogramme and click on the Dragon card icon. Insert your card, chip face down, and it should read the ATR. Click on the folder icon, at the end of the firmware box. Navigate to predator364.dra, click open, and write to Dragon Loader card. Once complete remove your card and follow the instructions for loading your Dragon Cam. Tune your receiver to a FTA channel. Turn off your receiver. Insert your card into your Dragon cam, chip facing upwards, and if not already, insert your Dragon cam into your receiver. Turn on your receiver and navigate to the Cam menu. Choose yes to load cam and wait for it to load. Once complete remove your card. Turn off your receiver, and then turn it on, you should now have predator 364 loaded. If you experience any problems please post back. |

I was going to turn on receiver on fta channel and then insert cam is this ok?,which is the best channel to test cam on?,i'm currently on astra19deg. can i ask you about pred files?,is it always best to load latest file,or do some files work better with certain receivers or channels?,i have an echostar 3oooip. when loading files in future should i always load dra?,as i have been advised to load bin files in past?. many thanks for help, sorry for all the quistions but i'm a bit confused. thanks mike. |

All Predator files are .dra.
Just insert your cam and tune in all the Premiere channels, use this guide: _http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/premiere.html All the portal channels should scan is as unnamed, this includes films, sport and the sex channels. Predator 364 is AU, auto updating, on Premiere, leave it on Premiere 1 for a few minutes and the keys should update. |

Hi mickha,
thanks again for reply,i did as you said but still no picture?. i loaded 3.64 dra only, turned on receiver tuned to prem 1, freq 11798 inserted cam and left it for 1hr which i asume should be enough time?. i have been told in the past that echostars may need specific files to work?,and a bin was suggested 12mnths ago?. or maybe my cam is faulty?,but it does load completly and has correct pred name on receiver menu. if you or anyone has any suggestions i would be very greatfull,if you do please be specific as i'm not the most computer literate. best regards mike. |

The only special files Echostars require are Predator files with 16 CAID's or less.
The special bin file, I think your friend has mentioned is for the Diablo Cam. It should only take about 5 minutes to update. Check your cams menu, to see if Predator 364 is loaded, then try updating on a different channel. If it still doesn't update please post back. |
