Default Do I need to split my cable?

Hi all
I Joined this forum a couple of months ago for sat stuff, amazed to see what toys you have over here!

I have decided to purchase a eurovox box. I would like to check if I need a splitter kit to complete my order.
I have 2 sets of NTL plumbing in my house. I haven't used their TV service for 2 1/2 years
The cable is already split at the point of entry. The plumbing in the lounge is unused and will remain so as the Mrs wont give up Sky One. in my office I run a cable modem off it.

I would like to use the eurovox in the same location as my modem, but it is very important that I don't balls up my broadband

Can the cable modem be looped through the eurovox? or Do I need to split the cable?
Is this likely to work given that it is already a split cable?

Would the £121 option from Lincsats shop contain everything I will need to get this working?
Cheers for any help

Thumbs up Re: Do I need to split my cable?

all that u need is to split the cable before the modem
i got all my kit from lincsat no probs ,just tell him you will need a splitter or use the one in the box on the wall where the 2 feeds come out

Just so anyone reasearching knows the outcome- I followed loftys advice and everything works fine. I was worried that I may not have enough signal strength as the cable has been split twice, but it seems fine. The splitter is a doddle to fit, and the eurovox was easy to set up. I reccomend the nicknacks shop as it was quick delivery and no bother. Thanks Lofty & Lincsat
