Important notice on cable downloads

Previously on Techwatch we provided an unmoderated private members area
where people could discuss grey area issues such as box updates and upgrades, and even link out to sites where these may be downloaded from.

While we tried to ensure we kept conversations from anything obviously illegal, complaints have been raised that this area may have been open to abuse.

We have therefore restricted access to the private board while we investigate whether it remains in the community interests to continue this, and if so, under what conditions.

This is not least because Techwatch has already attracted industry attention by becoming an increasingly important site for information on digital TV subjects, and will gain even more so as Techwatch becomes syndicated through significant news channels.

With that in mind, we appreciate your patience while we review the matter, but in the meantime, should you have any comments, questions, or queries, please do feel free to PM myself directly about the issue.
