Default Dreambox DM500C Clones

I've just got hold of a couple of DM500 clones (Branded Eurovox Ultra). They have Enigma images loaded, have Ethernet connections to connect to your PC and/or Internet. You can record/playback from your PC, update over the Internet - best of all, it's little bigger than a VHS video tape

I don't think the picture quality is as good as the Eurovox Max V and not even close to the D-box2, but I like a sharp, high-contrast picture.

They are £75 + £10 delivery - e-mail to order or for further details

They all appear to come with an old DW Enigma image on them, I've updated a couple to a newer DW (v2) image - it seems as good as any. I tried the DS image and a couple of Neutrino images but didn't really get on with them.

With the DW image, I got CIFS mounts working and from that both record and playback work, Internet updates work. I even managed to convert and upload my D-Box bouquets.

One useful feature of Enigma is that background scanning is on by default, you can also manual scan from a single frequency. Enter your default frequency and select network search, in about 4 minutes, you have all the channels in your area
