If the box is not from your area the Net ID will be wrong, so the box wont recognise the signal. You might have to have a small chip inside the box changed to set the correct ID for your area.
If the card is OK, then you need to get it unlooped & re-flashed with another image on it to work, something that I still don't know how to do

there is always a chance that the card is still paired to the box unless it says anything other than OK in the EM then it has been hit or just not paired.

box frm keighley area.. soooo is that what da blank chip is for?? can it be done widout changing chip?? stll need to change netid??? thanks

If the Halifax & Keighley Net ID are the same, then the chip does not need changing only the card sorting out, but can't help you there, I can't do the programming side.

If you go into the 'technical' settings in the menu it should say what ID the box is set for. Leeds is 41053.

hi booted box in em..went through msg found EDID it said OK is that what you mean when you say the card is paired??
also can i ask where is the talkbk on the box?
