if you can afford it pioneer is the best plasma in the world.also the most expensive the panasonic 42 plasma i gather is very good 1080P set. I cannot afford the high prices but bought the 42 inch LCD from Hitachi at £699 it cannot be beaten on price. except by there 37 inch version which i gather is very difficult to find The sony at £1799 for the 42 inch LCD is too much

I will second that, Pioneer are great screens if you can afford one. I have been using a 50" for approx four years and it still outshines the newer models (my opinion).

For gaming get an LCD for Movies get a Plasma
