Default Satellite could plummet to Earth

"A "large" US spy satellite has gone out of control and is expected to crash to Earth some time in late February or March, government sources say."

Heads up.

Ive been doing some resarch on this - its looking like the satellite concerened is "USA 193" a classified military sat launched in December 2006. Contact with it was lost shortly after launch...

If it is indeed USA 193 then a lot of places on earth are threatened when it comes down as shes in a 58 degree inclined orbit....

Yeah - whats on it? Some of these craft have radioactive stuff on them which runs a TEG. see Radioisotope thermoelectric generator - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Is it a geo or a polar? Polar I'd have thought more likely to use TEG.

No-one outside the yankee war machine knows exactly whats on USA 193 - its a classified bird. Its not quite a polar orbit - its orbit covers 58N to 58S.
