Default moniter connection

Hi Guys , i have just bought a new moniter
22" Neovo H-W22 V2 + HDCP - Widescreen LCD Monitor ,
however i am connecting it via the old D-SUB connection , The moniter has DVI-D input but my pc doesnt have an output for DVI-D ,
Would there be any benefit in getting an adapter , D-SUB TO DVI-D ,or do i really need a new graphics card with DVI-D to get the most from this moniter ,
many thanks in advance for any input

I think you need a new graphics card that supports DVI-D.

You can buy an adaptor that converts D-Sub but the picture wouldn't be the same.

for a monitor that size, i'd be wanting dvi, so you're obviously not a gamer (as all decent gaming crds have dvi), then a graphics card with dvi one won't cost much at all. But make sure your new card can handle the at least the native resolution of your monitor which i'm guessing will be at least 1900x1200 (?)

There won't be an easy connection option.
If you had DVD-I, then the monitor could accept analogue input, and you could use a simple adapter from VGA to DVI, but, since it's DVD-D, you need the output in digital form.
