Default Premiership football....

Ok, so I realise this has probably been asked 100s of times before, but I couldn't find any threads on it in the first few pages of this forum.

I currently have an (inactive) S** set up, with a standard dish (I live in the South East, so it's probably a 60cm dish?), Quad LNB and S** Digibox.

I want to be able to get what my local pub has - namely, Saturday football live. They currently have a Greek satellite setup with their sports network (Supersports?)

I realise the first thing I'll have to change is the S** dodgybox, but will I be able to re-use the dish and LNB? Which dish will I need to point to? Are the greek channels the best to go for, or am I better off with the Arabic ones?

How does someone go about getting a subscription (or should I say *cough* "Subscription" *cough*) to the Greek channels - is the encryption broken (like Nagravision is on V****?)

Any help is appreciated

DigitAlb on 16E is apparently a good one to go for, an 80cm dish minimum is required. Subscriptions are about £150 per year. Not into footbal myself, so I don't know what other packages that you can subscribe to carry it.

There might be the some games on the German Premiere package in the Portal, this is currently Nagravision2.

Thanks robbo.

Do you know if there's any way of not having to pay all? Ie, FTA channels, or compromised encryption?

To get compromised encrypted channels you will need a motorised dish. The reason for this is that the compromised channels change from time to time and each time takes a while to re-hack. There are a few feeds that can be watched but they are becoming fewer and encrypted. Also you wont find feeds until shortly before a game hence on most occassions you will be disappointed.

The only sure way to watch footy is to pay for it. Even then you may not get the match that you want.

The only problem I have had with Digitalb was this last weekend when they lost the english commentary. Not a big loss considering the usual cr*p spouted by the commentators. Possibly uncle ruppie putting pressure on Digitalb?

Cheers

Any idea how much the sports package costs to renew the following year? Do you have to use some dodgy agent in the country the service is set to broadcast to?

The cards can be purchased very easily in the UK, from many of the satellite retailers, so you could just buy another one if it wasn't renewable after 12months.
