No one as yet knows a price, the BBC web was a clutch at straws

The gubbins will be a roll out only at multi sellers only, I got into
hot water at another site, when I informed that small retailers in North Wales (a few) have told customers that they have to sub to Sky to get S4C/BBC/ITV etc on sat, I have also heard Sky reps quote this in Wrexham at the Sky road show many times.

With freesat the lie, that if it as to be sat, it as to be Sky will be gone forever, Sky agents make a good commision on selling Subs, and I have yet to meet a small retailer who will sell freesat from Sky.

Anyhow nice to go on a site that is not pro sky biased.

2 out of the 3 are already on air, and ITV 1 HD is due to start in a couple of months time.

C4 HD being fta from the start is only going to happen if C4 can wangle their way out of the encryption contracts early.

Nice to know that there is such a retailer, In Wrexham(largest town in North Wales) we only have one inde, mores the pity, TE Roberts in its
50plus years is finding it very hard going, they are Sony agents and I have delt with them since 1972, a good firm, honest and good back up.

Trouble is the oppo, a giant Tesco Extra/giant Tesco Direct/and all the others, repair shop on site at TE Roberts, but Joe Public knows better, until the 50 inch plasma goes wrong, anyhow on DS an inde in Derbyshire says, Freesat from Sky only brings in 30 pence, his words, so wont bother, a lot of the
sat smoke is about to be lifted with freesat, several retailers in North Wales push Sky and wont do a deal without selling a sub, thats why a lot of people I meet are amazed S4C on sat is FTA, they dont know any different and think they have to sub just to get Welsh channels, which are FTA.

See You, hope trade is good.

Hang on a minute guys, I thought freesat was a BBC registered trademark in association with the itv companies, and as such should have nothing to do with sky apart from using the same sat. If this is the case, you should do well Lincsat. Incidentally, I hope you do.

Freesat is owned by the BBC - it was leased to Sky a while back as a commercial deal
