merlodlliw,
I asked the Sly man in the shopping center in Tralee about the local channels and a free to view card and he told me that there was no such thing for the Irish channels. He was of course, a Sly man and not to be trusted in any way, shape or form. I shall have to look into it a bit more, we don't have a very good signal from the transmitter here. I have been able from only recently to get them on the Sly box in the sitting room, I was not able to get them before, but I did not say anything because I was getting Ch4 and 5, whilst anyone else that I know was not able to get them.

Very best regards Wez

As you say dont trust Sky reps, one of the conditions of working for Sky
is you must fail the lie detector test.

How on earth, do you have an Irish address, or do you use a third party,
most interesting, although its normal in Spain.

I could not agree with you enough on that one, they are sh*te, always have been and always will be. That Ch3 when you watch it, which I do very seldom, you would think you were in the states, and I am no great fan for usa TV.

Very best regards Wez

I got friends in Ireland, that way i get Sky.

To be honest i never watch Skys own channels, but watch BBC/ITV/RTE most of the time.

Don't know why but Sky channels are crap.

However i watch some shows on Discovery, like The Garage and Mythbusters, i love those two.

Good Afternoon Likvid.

The strange thing is, a lot of people subscribe to Sky just to get BBC/ITV/S4C around here, they think that they have to pay to watch
FTA channels, of course Sky promote this thinking.

When Freesat comes along that will stop the lie, put out in the UK
by Sky "If its satellite, it as to be Sky"

What size dish do you have? presume its over 80cm.

I dont watch the Sky channels, seeing the programme they put out, its like watching the mother in law as she drinks
blood.

See you

Bob

I've just read on another site that Pannasonic are or were going to produce tv's with built in Freesat, it leads me to think that we may not need to buy specific receivers just to get this service or am I missing something
