How do i connect the Max232. the interface has a 4-pin header and the ntl 250 modem has a 5-pin header. i couldn't see a diagram in the tut.

can i flash the modem with no ethernet port, just a serial port.

u flash the modem using a serial port on the interface connect it to the modem so the yellow wire is facing the front of the modem and connect using the 1st 4 pins so leave the one closet to the front free if u get what i mean

heres the problem.

I got a laptop with a serial port but no ethernet port.

I gtot a pc with a ethernet port but no serial port.

Can i do the first part of the crack on my laptop. (flash the modem with serial port no ethernet)

then finish the crack on my pc (setting the mac adress and stuff using the ethernet port no serial port)

If so, do i need the cable feed and ethernet connected for the first part of the crack (flashing the modem) or just power and serial.

Does that make sence?
