Default Help With Powerscan

Hi, I recently got a Eurovox Max (with the firmware from October or November last year), and am having trouble with the powerscan. I live in the Kingston area, and I use 6952 as symbol rate. However, whenever I search using the normal frequencies I only get 10 Channels. I altered it slightly and managed to get 50, but this is still less than what I managed to get by fluke the day before last (around 100). Can anyone give frequencies for the Kingston area, or any other help? Thanks in advance.

Are you doing a Power Scan? if not follow these instructions:

1) Press the MENU button.

2) Go to INSTALLATION and select USER INSTALLATION

3) Type in your pin (0000)

4) Press the YELLOW button for POWERSCAN, and change the mode to NORMAL

5) Change the SYMBOL RATE to 6952

6) Change the Mode back to FULL7) Now press OK. This will begin the Bruteforce powerscan which can take up to 20 minutes, but it is guaranteed to find every single channel on the network.

Good luck

Hi, and thanks for your reply! Yeah I am doing a full powerscan as mentioned above, but I am still only getting 10 channels. It only picks up one transponder if that's any help at all..

The only other thing I can think is are you sure the Symbol Rate is 6952.

Otherwise are you able to download a channel file anywhere for you area, this should solve your problem.

Not to worry everyone, I redid the search using some random frequencies last night and managed to get it to work! Now to find Paramount 1 and the Discovery Channels - thanks to all that replied though!
