Unhappy 7w woes

I am getting confused.I was reading a thread about 7w last night.I thought that I would have another go at it with my new 90cm dish.I swung the dish round to 7w and did a scan.It came back with 14 frequencies .Oh Oh I thought this is too good to be true.It was I looked at 7w on lyngsat the frequencies are correct but the channels are wrong. So I must be on the wrong satelitte.I swung the dish to 1w' 5w' and 8w.Then checked all the frequencies and channels on lyngsat.1w 5w and8w are correct. So my motor seemes to be tracking ok.As tony robbinson of timewatch fame would say. SO what is going on!.
The frequencies and channels search has found on 7w are,
11747v hdtv. occ. vue cinemas
11766h novy channel. glas. krt. star tv. urk. rda. channel 5 (ukraine)
11843h ltv world. Ist baltic music channel. tv5.
11881h kanal 10. god channel. sirius channel.
11900v ren-tv estonia
11996h svsp. k75 norden.
12073h enter-film. inter+. enter. ock univermag
12149h max info.
A lot of the text was in CAPS. I have searched a lot of sats on lyngsat but cannot find a match.
These are all fta. I have stripped all the encrypted channels out. It would take for ever to type them out. Its taken three pints worth of time already.

I just know that I have got this wrong somewhere, and will have to plant another embarrassed smiley.

you have picked up sirius 4.8e from those channels you have scanned in and those are nordic beam tps aswell, so you are quite some way off 7west.

Sirius 4 at 4.8°E - LyngSat

Dish is a bit to small

For 24/7 reception in all weather i use a 1.8m here in south wales even though i can just about receive the horizontals on a 1.2m , But north of the UK needs a 2.4m -3.0m dish for horizontal transponders,

I have just tried to get 61 west. no luck. When I went back to 7w it was gone.I had to nudge the dish east quite a few times in DiSEqc to find it again.
Egg on face again
I'm getting better though

you might be better to use usals instead to get the hang of using the motor

Hi pontiend, Try 11862V you might get that. It has a channel "City 7 TV"

That looks to be a strongish transponder.

I never bother with DiSEqC myself, just USALS, I adjust the angle by changing the "Satellite Position" in the receiver settings by 0.1 degree at a time, to get the best signal.

Hello robbo.I think that my motor needs fine tuning.I realize that I have to nudge the motor a bit on some sats. That is a fair weather job. Also I will stick with usal's.

Edit. I am going to have some fun now.Just deleted all the channels.
