I need some reception reports on eurobird 2 25.5 east please can you post your info here, To tune in to 25.5E as a guide the strongest transponder is a SCPC transponder 11.100v 2590 3/4 which is easy received in wales on a 1.2m dish and after that the next strongest one is 11.175v 27500 3/4 , But what i need reports on are the orbit network transponders on this satellite 11013 H, 11054 H, 11096 H, 11604 H, 11681 H all 27500 3/4

The Orbit frequencies you give are just too weak to lock, they are almost there but not quite. Incidentally, the 2 strong ones you mention don't get anything at all.

Are you sure here 11.100v 2590 3/4 is so strong i think a 1m dish would do it, Thanks for letting us know

According to Lyngsat, they all appear to be on the same beam and should be well out of range for the UK.

Eurobird 2 at 25.5E has a serious technical problem which cause discrepancy between the Horizontal and Vertical polarties of its wide beams. The reason is that they are on two separate feed horn on the satellite and they perform differently. The Horizontal beam is the week one that's why you can not and will not be able to receive Orbit TV channels frequencies which all of them are Horizontal from where you are.

Ive never heard of any technical issues along those lines with EB2. As the ex Hotbird 5 shes got problems with her solar sails - suffering increased degradation of the panels leading to a 10% loss of power.

At the same location we can receive from EB2 the TV channels of Vertical polarity frequencies by 1m dish antenna , while the Horizontal ones which include the orbit channels , can not be recived even by 4.5m dish antenna. we had a long debate with Orbit and Eutelsat in the issue , as ALL orbit TV customers suddenly lost reception 2 years ago when they moved to EB2 , left behind thousands of customers uncompensated for what they paid till now !!!
