Default Newbie questions please

Hi,

Wondering if you kind fellows could help me. I'm in Doncaster and have broadband with virgin media, before that it was with telewest/blueyonder. Wondering if anyone could tell me what i need to get started i dont know even if it is possible here because all i've seen mainly online is talking about ntl.

The modem i have at the moment is WebSTAR DPX100 hardware version 2.1
i have also 2 modems Scientific Atlanta 2100 (think these are also webstar) i got these sent to me when i was on 20mb but never connected it up because i went down to the 2mb package (could not afford it no more) dont ask me why they sent me 2 heh can anything be done with these modems ?

If not what do i need to get please, if it is even possible here.

Thanks alot.
