Smile Eurovox Help Needed

Hi,

I have virgin media TV+broadband at the moment.

I heard off a friend that their friend has a chipped virgin media box, they dont actually have a broadband connection or pay for any virgin media services whatsoever and I guess they are receiving through a standard aerial.

I heard that they do live in a cabled area, but have read on another thread on here that you cannot receive without having their broadband service on.

Is this possible and if so does anyone know what equipment they are using?

Which is better too, that way, or the eurovox way?

Which has more benefits?

Any response would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi sometime's they leave the cable live to the house if it had been installed there before if you are lucky it's just pot luck and they can turn it off at anytime.

They are not illegal to own, but are possibly illegal to connect to cable equipment without the owners consent.

It's definitely illegal to use them to receive programming that you don't pay for - ie theft of cable services
