hmm by that i'm going to have a problem mounting a andrews 1.2m just below the guttering
my t&k brackets are galvanized and the pole is so nothing rusty and i have used strong fixings |

Put it up if some one moans about it change the dish face over to a 1m then after the planing officer goes change it back over to a 1.2m

Or do as RD100 wrote earlier and goto the council office and ask for permission and how nice the dish is etc and how it's going to be hidden by trees etc etc....

My mate is a artist and he sketched me up a really nice pic of how the dish would look in the summer with the bedding plans growing around it and the newly planted trees to the rear (north of the dish) and they loved it

but knowing my area i would get some idoit from council that would say why you need that size dish to view sky.
i don't think anyone will complain as my dish looks over some small trees that block the view over the neighbours garden to some terrace houses and next doors extension to the right west side hides it from view at the top of the road. rd100 did you also say you needed them for you job to monitor signals and give them some tech speak

Good thing for me when i am moving over as i am foreigner and can always say i need a big 3 meter dish to receive my Swedish TV.

What you mean saying about Viasat??? It's a total disaster for us in UK(eastern europeans) now.Sorry for those who live in Ireland

Or he can subscribe to the svt europe package all he needs is a fixed 50cm dish on eurobird 9 :-) svt.se - SVT Europa
