Default Legal dish size with out planning is now 100cm in wales

Had a new green colour planning guide in the post today fromm the welsh assembly and it seems they have increased the dish size from 90cm to 100cm but if you have a second dish it must be 60cm or under with out planning permission

yes as with the foreign workers in the uk have larger dishes so we could use that as an excuse

also a 1.2m doesn't look all that bigger than 1metre so can get away with that too

but anyway its good news, just hope no one sees your dishes then rd100

No problem for me planning permission was granted for my 3.7m dish and my 1.8m even before i moved in to my new home,

As long as the dish is in a private garden and is hidden best as possible for the location 99% of the time they will give permission, For me i have no other houses over looking my garden so i had no problem is getting it for my 3.7m

But if you live in the countryside with no neighbors close you can put up a 3 meter dish no problem, nobody will care.

But if you lived in Emmerdale for example and put up a 3 meter dish there the neighbors would scream at you.

You can live in a built up area in the UK and as long as you have a standard legal size 6 foot (180cm) fence around your garden 99% of the time they will give permission for a 1.8m dish in the garden,

Oh that sounds nice.

So it wouldn't be a problem installing a Andrew 1.8 or 2.4 then.

All you have to do is fill out a planing applications and tell them what is going to be done draw up some plans to scale also include other paper work this what the dish looks like i a property similar to yours also most planing offices you can just pop in to in the week days have a chat with them show them what you are going to do and tell them your reasons for wanting the dish and like i said 99% of the time they are ok

They where ok about my dish did not mind but the reason the law ain't dropped the dish law is they hate cheap nasty looking dishes on Rusty t&k brackets will cables hanging down the wall on nasty h-h mounts, Also do what i do show them the price of the high quality materials (E.G andrews SMC dish will never rust galv king post mount will never rust high qulity nuts & bolt will never rust) you are going to use and that will also impresses them,
