hi, so all i need is a mac address a few miles away from me and the 250 20mb config file for my modem and i will be up and running.

hi tee, i have a ambit 250 subbed modem if i cancel my subscription with ntl can i then use my modem or is it better to have one registered in someone elses name. cheerz

Yes you can cancel the subscription, but dont use the same modem yet, best to get another 250 modem to mod, also it is best to pay for some sort of package, i.e for a cheap internet package, or the basic tv package, in this way you will not get disconnected.

Guys my subscribed modem is an old model, a silver cased one labelled underneath as NTL:120 and I have another similar model I was given called an NTL:100.

Are they "modable" ?

HI ALL, in the online haynes guide it says you can only use the ambit 200 in all areas, can you not use the ambit 250 in a ex cw area. cheerz
