problem reflashing dbox2

hi can anyone help plz ??

ive downloaded the ifa programme installed it but when i run the programme it doesnt seem to do anything oh and im using a null-cable can any one tell me where im going wrong??? or what the right way reflash the box would be using a null-cable and ifa???

Do you have your network set up properly. IFA flashes a D-Box over the network connection, the null-modem is just to tell IFA the status of the flash.

that might be ma problem lol can u tell me what i have to do with the network plz??

do need both cables to reflash the dbox2 ?? (i.e) null-modem cable and crossover cables or can i just use either one of them ????

plus how do set up my network card to flash the box ???

You can use just one - if you use the null-modem, it's very slow. Just the Network is much better, but you don't get any acknowledgement or status messages in IFA.

Have a look in the download links, there are some tutorials for the d-box in there

can i ask you a questio n plz am i doing this right??


1: i run the ifa programme

2: select the image i want to flash ,select the network card

3: connect the null-cable to the pc then the dbox

4: then power up the box


then what do i do ??

Hi you can gave every thing connected apart from the powersupply before you run ifa when you run ifa choose your image select the network card if you got nullmodem cable then tick yes then just press start you will get a message that your computer will prepare for flash press ok and plug your box in if lucky you will get a message on your dbox screen flashing when done flashin done if it doesn,t start the first time don,t worry keep unplugging and plugging in give few attempts before you do all this switch all firewalls

do i need to use a crossover cable aswell asthe null-cable ??

as ive only benn using the null-cable lol
