Default Bloody Freeview Crap

People served by the Sutton Coldfield Transmitter are having problems that will spread nationwide. They have changed something technical at the transmitter resulting in the fact that some older set top box's, PVR, and possibly some IDTV, will no longer work. There has been a tempry reprieve but only until March this year. I am so glad I pointed my new aerial to Waltham, but this is not on, even some boxes with the digital tick are affected and there is no requirement for the manufactures to send out upgraded firmware to solve this. This can only be yet another reason to go down the satellite road and abandon terrestrial all together.

Does that mean when M Y P & Winter Hill change, I will no longer be able to use my old ON DIG Sony reciever?
I had heard about changes that would kill old equipment.

Well that would explain why i've been having so many Fu**ing problems at work today. All the IRS systems i've put into today have had the aerials pointing at Sutton Coldfield

With regarding Winter Hill I've had no problems at all when i was up in Bolton and Oldham. Our meters aren't exactly the newest and they still work fine on Winter Hill
