doesnt mention what that means in the manual i assumed it was lnb fault or some other description. ive got a meter coming my way within the next couple of days so it should be able to tell me exactly how far away i am. these are my deatilsYour Location Satellite Data Dish Setup Data Latitude: 52.219°
Longitude: -0.285° Name: 28.2E Astra 2A-B-D Distance: 39102kmElevation: 24.7° Azimuth (true): 145.5° Azimuth (magn.): 148.0° LNB skew: -12.8° bit worried now by the trees at the bottom of the garden. they are conifers about 20ft away and at the minute about 5-10ft above the dish. my main concern is the motor as it just doesnt seem to do anything no lights nothing! just wanted to check most things before i bothered the people i got it from. Im also concerned about the lnb but the lnbf only shows up when wired through the motor. |

The LNBF only appears when the motor is there?
This could mean two things, either the motor is dodgy or the lead from the motor to the LNB is dodgy. I would suggest checking the lead first by replacement. If still the same, then take the motor off and connect it with a short lead to the receiver. If you can't get the thing to move with the buttons it sounds like the motor is dead. |

I would suggest the most likely problem would be the connections on the cables, you'd be surprised how many times newcomers get them wrong.
You need to ensure that there is no braid touching the centre core and that there is some braid trapped under the screw threads when you put the F plug on the cable. Many people cut all the braid off, some get a short with the braid touching the centre core.

I used the conversion chart in the manual for the dish, and the angle for alignment was way out, reduced the angle and percevered, on came the light after about 20mins of small adjustments, and now I've got a really strong signal, it all justs takes time(small movements), both left to right and up and down, I am no expert, first time installer, it worked for me
