you need to set up the sat you want on the box, ie 28.2 for the sky, and change the motor settings to usals, all on the box, this will then supply power to the motor, follow this and you cant go wrong

You have done, one thing right and that is to try the receiver without the motor. If that doesn't pick anything up, then its either : you haven't aligned the dish properly, your settings are wrong, a dodgy cable, or a dodgy LNB.
Can you post a screen shot of where it says LNBF??? Which menu does it appear in? To test without the motor, in the satellite setup, just set the Diseqc parameters all to off. In the motorised setup, set them to off as well. Somewhere in the menus, you also have to set the LNB type, set it to Universal. And obvioiusly the dish has to be carefully aligned to get a signal. ok ill and check the settings on the dish first. just got back from a weekend away so ill have a look tomorrow night. on the technomate 5400 on the display lcd of the box it says lnbf. ill try and bypass the motor first, if i aim it exactly where my sky dish was should i be able to use my sky plus box or do i have to use the sky dish cos i might try that and then that should tell me if the lnb is working. got the lnb set to universal.

right ive bypassed the motor and gone straight into the lnb from reciever. im dead on south so shouldnt be a problem. still nothing. on the screen its just saying
no or bad signal also 21-23% moved it all over the place and no improvement. even moved it to where my sky dish was and plugged in the sky box and nothing. im losing the will to live i gather the motor is no good also |

you have to move the dish very slowly, theres an art to it, you cant Rush it, like a mm at a time, what happens if you put your TM on your sky dish cable and do a scan?, also, just by pointing at what looks right to another dish, 99% dont work like that, have you turned the motor on, in the satellite you want settings on the TM?, stick with it
