Have you got your 1.1 triax mounted yet? like you im trying to improve 26e for the mbc stuff? if you have, is it any better than the 90cm?, ive just had a play with my dish, i changed the lnb to a invacom SINGLE 0.3dB UNIVERSAL LNB , (the big ugly one). from a Smart Titanium TSG 2nd Edition Universal Single LNB.
i had quality of 40, now its 52, i do have a fence in the way, but shouldnt cut it down by much due to hight and distance. i have read here some ppl dont rate the invacom, its a defo spiders home, but seems to be better than the titanium on my fortec 90cm, with a bit of luck i should have my 1.1 mounted by the end of next week. just interested to see how you are getting on really. Andie

Well,
I now have three bigger dishes:- A Fortec star 90cm An Orbital 1m A Triax 110cm And to be honest, for 26E MBC, they all perform the same. I have tried the Titanium on the Fortec and the Orbital, and the titanium works best on the Orbital. I have an inverto silvertech, which is better on the Fortec. I haven't tried the Titanium on the Triax yet. The max I can get on my TM1000 is 66%, whatever combination I try. I have almost given up playing now, and might go back to the Fortec as it is smaller. Conclusions so far, for its size the Maplin special is the best, for what I want it for right now. Its going back up tonight, with the Triax fitted with a multibracket, at a later date, the Orbital will go into storage. Robbo

i have tried 8 lnbs, mti, lemon, fortec, invacom, inverto silver, sharp, eurostar and titanium and for the 26e mbc channels for me the titanium is the best with the sharp 2nd, i use a 88cm triax at the moment, which is a single dish focused on the mbcs, i keep it in the garden because its easier to align for that sat. Its not very often i lose the picture unless it rains to any degree, i use to have a 1.1 triax out there and it does give a better signal, maybe one day i will put it out there Last edited by Robbo; 03-02-08 at 12:14 PM. Whereabouts are you johnwilliam?
Yes I have found it is easier to get them with the dish fixed rather than motorised. I still have the Triax110 motorised at the moment with the Silvertech, and the Fortec with the Titanium was fixed at 26E MBC. Unfortunately, I put the two dishes slightly too close and when I sent the motorised one to 1W they clashed, and it knocked them both out of alignment.( I set it up in the dark) ![]() I might try the Titanium on the Triax again then.

I can get clear 26e easy on my 90cm dish in the Midlands using a 0.2dB Mti Supremline twin lnb. On a clear day i can also clear a lot of stuff off 23.5e Germany beam which isn't bad going for a smallish dish
![]() Tried other lnbs and the Mti seems to produce the best signal levels on my setup ![]() ![]() Nano

hartlepool in the northeast, the bottom line is the mbc is awkward to get, i remember when i first tried to get it with an 88cm, i must have spent about an hour and a half but i got it in the end with an average of 55% during the day and about 58% at night time thats with decent weather with a tek 1500, its definately easier on the ground floor, but i would recomend to anyone go for the one tv, thats what i done and then i worked it from there moving this and twisting that etc! and i eventually got it and then refined it a bit, but all that was with a monitor in the garden, i found it so much easier like that, if i had to go up a ladder i am not sure if i could get it with my size dish, i would definately have to bring a 1.1 out

Anything below 65-66% on my TM1000 breaks up. Down at 55%, I have no chance of a picture at all. I would have thought the quality readings needed for a picture would have been comparable for two receivers in the same series.??
Yeah, flat screen TV down the bottom of the garden is what I used. One of the problems is that the transponder 11919H has frequencies very close to it on both 23.5E and 28E. Sometimes I have a better 69% reading, but every time I have had that, it has turned out to be the wrong satellite. I did it just looking for a moving picture yesterday.
