Angry shared sky satellite

Hi everyone first time here. Have got sky HD and multiroom in current house but am moving into apartment with communal dish. (new build evryone is so far behind) There is only 1 sat feed for Sky nto each of the 6 apartments. Block owners refuse to extend the system or allow me to put up own dish. I might be able get 1 more feed as there is one feed not being used but not sure. I want to have dual HD feeds into 2 rooms and sky+ in 2 others.
Question. Can I install a multiswith inside my own apartment using the 1 feed/2 feeds that I have then output to 3 other sky boxes via diplexers? If not is there any other way around this.

No, a multiswitch requires 4 feeds from a quattro LNB.
These LNB's have 4 outputs namely: High band V, High band H, Low band V & Low band H.

If you have a southish facing window, this could be a way round it, if you install a dish indoors, with a quad LNB on it.

Hi Captain Kilvo, it might be worth seeing if you can get another 3 of the tenants to show interest in sky+ or HD. Sky have been pressing for apartment blocks to be wired and providing at least 4 tenants require it, the landlord cannot stop you.

I have seen a temporary workaround for places with only 1 input for unattended recordings.

Set a 24 hour recording of a radio channel. This will grab input 2 - the unconnected one.

Set your wanted recording - it will thus take input 1

Tou probably wont be able to watch and record something by doing this but at least you would be able to record if you were going out.

At the end of the dat the best thing to do would be to get the building management company to fit new sockets to all apartments

That is for an American system, which may be different to the European. It depends if both frequency bands are used and both polarities. It looks like it is for a specific provider, so it is possible that it is for a single band and polarity, so it would work OK.

The channels you want on 28E however have a mixture.
