My controller works fine.. I did find some issue with it when using an extension cord and faulted the cord, not the controller, as once the cord was replaced it all worked fine.

I leave mine on for weeks and its still fine. Ive never had any problems with it except can't play alot of dvd's.

yeah, i dont get what these things have againts playing movies, you think they would have at least addressed this issue with the second generation PS2.

anyway, i think my old school PS2 would have been fine if it weren't for my younger siblings. and i had it on its side most of the time. my newer slim PS2 seems to work fine, but for some reason it wont play some of my older games. but it might be the games, ill have to pick up one of those disc resurfacer things.
