Default UK TV in Spain via MMDS deflector system

Hi There
Novice here. I am looking to buy something that will receive english channels. We have a place in Spain and are tied in to the communal micromesh aerial. Any advice please on what might work and prices if you have something.I live in Ireland for posting if you have something.
Thank you
Kev

Hi kktreblek, you nearest town in Spain would be very useful here as dish sizes very considerably.

Hi there
We are in a village called Hurchillo very near to Orihuela, Costa Blanca. My problem is, there is nowhere I can put a dish as we are on the ground floor and our block is tied in to the micromesh aerial. (mmds cable)Most people are tied in to this by subscription, basically they have paid €500 to get connected then pay a monthly subscription of between €10 and €20 a month to receive bbc itv etc. The other down side is that there is no guarantee that this service will be pulled at any time as from what I can gather not 100% legal

cheers
Kev

Without a dish, you are not going to be able to get satellite TV.

Another option may be to use a slingbox to send you video via the internet from back home.

Micro mesh TV is not a satellite based system - it is an redistribution system used in Spain rebroadcasting illegally, signals they have received from the Satellites by line of sight and encrypted. Coship is the box that is being used by subscribers and am wondering is there some box out there that will do the same without subscribing. We use a similar cable system here in Ireland and some boxes work perfect here with the correct firmware onboard.
Thanks for your responses

If you could get hold of a similar box you may be able to clone the software. But the problem is that they may have also modified the hardware so that the tuner works at a different frequency. Do you know what frequency band it operates on?

The first thing you need to do is find out what encryption they are using .

If its one of the fairly seure ones theres not much you can do about it. and need to think about your own dish installation

He is using a Coship cable/DTT receiver with 16-QAM modulation. His receiver scanned 10 channels from 657MHz to approx. 546MHz (8MHZ spacing) with a SR of 6667.

On the other hand your system must use a regular sat receiver with QPSK modulation with input from 950MHz to 2150MHz either direct or frequency converted from the microwave mesh.

don't know is this any sense to you found this on another site, I can try and get some more info from one of the neighbours will send him a pm tonight

Cheers

Sorry if I'm pi**ing ye off but I am a total novice (and so is my neighbour I think)

Does this make any sense to ye. Nagra3, DVB-C with IRDETO encryption

If this info is correct and it is one of the secure encryptions I wont waste anymore of your time.
Thanks again
Kev
