I have to move my current satellite box from its previous place, and the only flat and stable surface that will remain ,which is very stable ,is the top of a microwave oven.
If i placed some sort of non conductive material between each item ,BIG question, will one piece of kit mess up the working of the other. As it is now when the satelliet stb switches on there is a mains type buzz on the tv for a short space of time.Any ideas gents??

On top of a microwave unit is probably the worst place. I blew a DAB radio that way.
Why do you want the sat box level and steady? I have seen them up on end and sideways working very well.
