Default Re: 26e????????????

I have decided. The 110cm is staying motorised, now getting a good lot from 7W (lost 26E now). With a fixed 90cm on 26E. Getting all the MBCs from 7W with 69% quality at the mo.

My arc is a bit out at the moment, as my pole is not vertical as I had to extend it, when I got the 110cm.
I am awaiting delivery of a Digital angle guage before I can sort it out properly.

Oh, and the Fixed dish on 26E got knocked over, whwn I sent the motorised to 7W

Hi all,
I did a scan on 7W last, all-be-it in a howling gale and driving rain, and could not get a thing. Must try again tonight, as it is to be a still and clear night. Is there that much on there anyway?I am pretty far south 52 degrees, but almost 10W here, so I might need to get my channel master sorted, trouble is there never seems to be a good enough day to do it.

Very vest regards Wez

I had a quick look on 7W last night, before it started raining, then I lost it.
But there was City 7 TV, the MBCs and KTV2. All the others were Arabic

Of course Showtime is on there too, the vertical transponders are possible on a smallish dish, apparently they can be got without subscribing, but I don't know how.

Hi robbo,
Thanks for the reply, I tried again today to get 7W, but still no joy. I can't get a good dry day to take my 500s and the 19ins LCD TV out to set my dish better. Hope that it will be dry some day soon, by I won't be holding my breath waiting for it.

Good luck and best regards Wez

those wixey digital angle guages are good i got mine on ebay. i'm also sorting out my dish for mbc on 26e as mine goes off in slightest bit of rain

kerrywez, you should get 26e on that 1.2m channel master as those are very good with matched feedhorn and invacom lnb

Wod, can you get 7W an 26E, on the same motorised dish?

A much as I have tried, I have not managed as yet to get both. I know I'm close, as I almost can. I think maybe my motor arc might be sagging a little with the extra weight on it.

Hi robbo,
Much to my surprise it was very nice today here, so I got to fiddle with my dish. I got the LNB arm lined with the sun at 12:52:52, it's azimuth. I now have a very good signal on everything E to 28.2 and most W to 45, but not a flicker from 7W.

I can get 26E with a very good signal wod, with the smaller dish. I was told that the small dish was 1.1 Mtr, but when I measured it I found that it is 90cms X 110cms and the smallest measurement on the channel master is 120cms and the largest is 140cms, so I had to revise the size of the dish in my signature, don't know if anyone noticed or not, but that us the reason I changed it. I think I killed my actuator on the channel master, as it will not drive at all now, I changed the reed sensor, so it is not it. I drove the dish too far west and the actuator was bent, might have to buy a new one. That one was a 18ins, I have a 36ins, brand new, but it is a bit of over kill for the 1.2 mtr dish. Would I get away with a 12ins or would I be best to get a new 18ins?

All suggestions very welcome and appreciated.

Very best regards Wez

robbo, i can get 26e but the mbc signal goes straight away when it rains so i think i'll get the best signal on 26e and go from there also that my dish might be abit small up here.

kerrywez, an 18inch one should be fine as i'm sure 12inch was recommended but 18 would give abit extra. or you could fit a jaeger 1224 h2h motor to the dish

Hi wod,

Would the Jaeger 1224 h2h fit the 3is pole I have on the ground mount? If I fit the dish to the Jaerger 1224 h2h to the dish, would I get the same swing as I would with an acturator, because I cannot get my rotor to go far enough East, to get 33E even?

Thanks for your reply and I appreciate it.

Very best regards wez
