how did you use it to set the motor up better ?

as not sure where it would go to measure the angle correctly on a diseqc motor unlike 36v h2h motor

Just got one from ebay, £28.40 buy it now. It will be a good investment and will be of help to a friend, who works as a fitter and mechanic. Thanks, I could have got it from their site, in the states, but they hit you hard getting anything from the states here.

Wod, I placed it on the front face of the motor casing, at the same angle as the shaft.

On my motor the casing on that face is 90 degrees to the face on which the shaft sticks out.

That is the way I was going to try it and if that failed then I would have got back to you robbo. It should be here next week so I hope that by them the weather will be improved, it is blowing a gale here tonight again. Mine was £24.95 plus postage £3.45.

Your are right robbo, I need to get it sorted, a friend who deals in satellite boxes and does a lot of installs for the Christians channels, has the 36 ins super jack I will go and get it back from him, no good buying a new 18ins one when all I need is the [lastic cog and someone must have or know were I can get one. It just that the 36ins looks soooooo much like overkill on the dish.

not sure what you mean, have you got a picture of where to place it ?

also the way you setup the motor is wrong then and the angle finder does it better as wont setting it up with the angle finder put the arc out ?

I will see if I can dig out a picture, or draw one.

It will not muck up the arc. The H-H motor is put onto the vertical pole as normal, then rather than setting the elevation using the scale on the motor, I used the angle finder.
